REZUMAT

Epidemiologia genetică şi studiile pe gemeni aduc argumente solide că diferenţele genetice contribuie la evoluţia şi gravitatea infecţiilor. Modificările Toll-like Receptors (TLR), a citochinelor proinflamatorii şi ale
genelor imunităţii studiate în diferite situaţii clinice confirmă importanţa factorilor genetici şi sugerează influenţa factorilor nongenetici (epigenetici) în evoluţia şi gravitatea afecţiunilor.
